Our innate interrogative nature allows us to constantly inquire about the world around us. These questions of “how” and “why” propel us to discover, to innovate, and to overcome. Along with particular moments and events, such questions can provide us with a launchpad that catalyzes our investigations of our surroundings and potentially lead to the conception of a new treatment for cancer or the inception of powerful movements. Every reaction needs an initial action, and every fiery passion needs a starting spark. We hope you enjoy reading about the inspirations that prompted novel ideas and activated research efforts in Catalyst.
